    1st Mission: Get to the core of the military base!
    • Start To Checkpoint 1: Navigate a passage with Beetle enemies and cameras. Destroy four red locks to open a sealed door and reach Checkpoint 1.

    Checkpoint 1 To Checkpoint 2: Proceed through a room with dropping robots, use an elevator, and blast through wooden boxes. Destroy enemies and cameras in the next room. Move through a tunnel, ignoring steam pipes. Blast locks on a door to enter a large elevator shaft. Ride the elevator down, destroying surrounding enemies, including a Gold Beetle. Bust open the next door to reach Checkpoint 2.

    Checkpoint 2 To Checkpoint 3: Open a door to a room with four ring capsules. Destroy canisters and metal boxes to find an upgrade. Continue right to find and destroy door 3. Enter a new room with catwalks. Destroy three Beetle enemies, use boosters to reach platforms, and destroy capsules and an enemy for points. Take out two guard robots, then drop down. Destroy two Beetles, collect rings, and proceed to another set of catwalks. Destroy two guard robots and go left to reach Checkpoint 3. Going right leads to a Chao box.

    Checkpoint 3 To Goal: Blast open door 4 and go through a tunnel to a large elevator shaft. Destroy enemies while descending the elevator for points. Bust open another door, destroy wooden boxes and door 5. Fight robots in the next room. Find a health refill and an extra life to the left. Blast open the next door and go through a tunnel. In a room with robots and Beetles, lock on and blast them for points. Bust open the next door. Enter a tunnel with an elevator and doors. Take the elevator up, destroy the radar on the computer to trigger a missile that destroys the doors. Drop down, go through the tunnel, and reach the goal.

    2nd Mission: Collect 100 rings!
    • Collect two ring capsules before the large elevator for 15 rings.

    After the large elevator, collect 43 rings.

    Continue forward, bust open a door, and find more ring capsules and stray rings.

    In an open room, destroy beetles. Use a spring to reach a platform with a metal box. Bounce off another spring to a platform with a 10 ring capsule. Use three springs to reach a pipe and hover through a row of rings.

    Drop down and choose a route. Collect ring capsules on the front route, avoiding guard robots. Take the left route, drop down, destroy two beetles, and grab the final rings.

    3rd Mission: Find the lost Chao!
    • After the large elevator and reaching Checkpoint 2, proceed to an open room with Beetles and a pipe with a spring.

    Use the spring to bounce left, break a metal box, and use another spring to reach a higher platform.

    Use springs on that platform to bounce up, land on a pipe, and hover around the corner.

    Pass the next pipe to find a small platform with an ancient shrine. Get on the platform and play the Mystic Melody.
