    Start To Checkpoint 1: Enemies are present at the start; defeat them. Continue forward, destroying all enemies. Reach a dead end with boxes; blast the wooden box to create a platform. Beware of a Beetle enemy dropping bombs. Climb the boxes to the right, use a pulley, then hover to another pulley to reach the next area. In this area, walk on the seemingly open floor. Defeat two enemies and avoid exploding nuclear capsules. Proceed through the door to the first checkpoint.

    Checkpoint 1 To Checkpoint 2: Do not blow up the dynamite near the start, as it will open a wall and suck you into space. Continue to a room with dynamite on the walls; lock onto enemies only, not the dynamite. Go around lasers. Reach two doors; go through the one straight ahead. Do not shoot the wooden boxes; a switch is behind them. Beware of dynamite on the wall behind the boxes. Hit the switch and return to the other door. Go through it to a bridge with an enemy; destroy it. If the bridge is destroyed, hover across. The next room has dynamite on the floor; run past the enemy. Reach a dock area; Chao will indicate the landing area below. Hover down to the platform. Rotate the camera to find two platforms behind you and a missile. Wait for the platform to move, jump to another, wait, then jump to the missile. Hit it and return. Go through a door. Beware of a trap above; go to the side. Blow up the canister between two springs to reveal a switch. Hit it, then take the left spring up. Land on the weight, then jump into a pulley. Use this pulley to reach another, which leads to the next checkpoint.

    Checkpoint 2 To Checkpoint 3: In the next room, defeat an annoying blue enemy that stretches its arms; wait for it to extend before attacking. Continue to find another of these enemies; destroy it. The following room has three Beetle enemies; destroy them. Use boxes on either side to climb over the wall behind them. On top of the wall, use moving platforms and hover to cross lasers and reach the checkpoint.

    Checkpoint 3 To Checkpoint 4: A locked door is ahead; ignore it. Go right to an area of bridges. Cross the bridges, avoiding dynamite and only engaging enemies if necessary. Reach the door at the top for the next checkpoint.

    Checkpoint 4 To Checkpoint 5: The first room has dynamite along the wall; run down the side to dodge enemies and lasers. Enter another bridge area; destroying it leads to an upgrade. Jump down to the platform below. Find a floating platform near a wall of metal boxes; break them and continue. The next room has dynamite on walls and floors; run down the side. The following room has a blue enemy with dynamite behind it; destroy the enemy and jump onto a pulley. Use pulleys to reach a platform that acts as an elevator. Continue forward, go right, and find the next checkpoint.

    Checkpoint 5 To Goal: Go through the door to a huge gap. Jump onto the platform, which will drop. Float across the gap, being careful as Tails will be flipping, making it hard to hit enemies. Float until you reach the door on the other end.
