Checkpoint 1 To Checkpoint 2: After the checkpoint, take the left route (right leads to an animal). Watch for moving platforms. Use the pulley to reach an area with monkeys; use lock-on to defeat them. Drop down, break metal boxes to find the Mystic Melody. To continue, use canisters. If you found the Mystic Melody, use it in the ancient shrine to open a door leading to a Chao Box and a canister. Use this canister's pulley to reach Checkpoint 2. Alternatively, taking the canister route directly leads to Checkpoint 2 after defeating spiked enemies.

Checkpoint 2 To Checkpoint 3: Destroy a wall, then navigate across blocks to a pulley. Use it to reach monkeys, defeat them, and take a pulley to a breakable wall. Break the wall, defeat enemies, and use a spring to reach a raised platform. Break another wall and hover into an opening. Navigate a maze; take the right path. The left path is a dead end. At the end of the maze, the checkpoint is ahead. The right path offers rings and an extra life; the left is a dead end. Proceed through the checkpoint.

Checkpoint 3 To Goal: Navigate blocks to a pulley, then hover to another pulley. Defeat monkeys, hover to rings, break a wooden box, and use a pulley. Break a wall. An ancient shrine is ahead but leads to a dead end for this mission; ignore it. Destroy enemies approaching from the left. Hover across blocks, defeating monkeys to the right. Break a metal box, use a spring, and follow a passage to break a wall. Navigate more blocks to the back, use a pulley to reach a platform, destroy dynamite to lower it. Use another pulley, then the last one. Defeat monkeys and use springs. Break the final wall to enter the goal area. Defeat the center enemy and monkeys if desired, or run directly to the goal.
