By collecting all 7 Chaos Emeralds or using the Master Emerald's energy, Sonic can transform into Super Sonic.

Press the Jump Button again as soon as you jump to the other wall on the opposite side, and again to reach the top. Combined with the Jump Dash/Air Boost, you can reach high areas. Sonic can Wall Jump to stop his fall, Air Boost to reach the other wall, and repeat to eventually get to safety. Watch your timing.

It stops when Sonic touches the ground or rail. Press LB and RB after a Trick to finish it. Tricks can extend the Boost Gauge past its maximum range.
- Skydiving: Sometimes while in midair, Sonic will slowly float down. You can use the Boost Button to move faster, but he becomes harder to move.
- Lightspeed Dash: When near Rings with auras, press the Y Button to collect them quickly. Lightspeed Dashing normally leads to shortcuts.
