Alright, let's get our hands on some of Dr. Eggman's sweet upgrades in Sonic Adventure 2! These are scattered across different stages and will really help you out. We'll go through each one so you don't miss a single one.

Upgrades:

1. Laser Blaster
   • Location: Iron Gate
   • Upgrades Needed: Large Cannon
   • Description: This upgrade increases the radius of your laser attack, making it hit a wider area.
   • How to Get It: After you descend the elevator shaft and pass the second checkpoint, you'll spot two large canisters. Destroy these, and then focus on the metal containers behind them. Once those are gone, continue down the hallway to find the Laser Blaster.
2. Mystic Melody
   • Location: Sand Ocean
   • Upgrades Needed: Jet Engine
   • Description: This allows you to play special melodies at ancient shrines to open new paths or shortcuts.
   • How to Get It: This one's super straightforward. Right at the start of the stage, on the very first spinning platform, head to the left. You'll need to jump and use your Jet Engine to glide over to another platform. The Mystic Melody is waiting for you right there.
3. Jet Engine
   • Location: Lost Colony
   • Upgrades Needed: None
   • Description: This handy upgrade lets you hover in the air after jumping, giving you more control and reach.
   • How to Get It: Keep progressing through the stage until you reach a large, circular room with no obvious exit. As you enter, go left and follow the path around. You'll eventually find some metal containers that you can destroy to ascend. There's only one path that goes all the way up. Follow it, and you'll find the Jet Engine.
4. Large Cannon
   • Location: Weapons Bed
   • Upgrades Needed: None
   • Description: This upgrade lets you blast through those tough metal containers you'll encounter.
   • How to Get It: Right at the beginning of the stage, just move past the initial enemies. You'll come across three garages. Two of them have dynamite. The middle, smaller garage is where you'll find the Large Cannon.
5. Protective Armor
   • Location: Cosmic Wall
   • Upgrades Needed: Jet Engine
   • Description: This beefs up your armor, letting you withstand more damage. Your life gauge will also change to a dark blue.
   • How to Get It: After you get past the second checkpoint, you'll reach an area where you need to jump between platforms to go upwards. You'll then go over a wall and start free-falling. While falling, head towards the left side. You should see a platform with a rocket on it. Land on this platform and use the rocket – it'll blast open some cages, allowing you to get to the Protective Armor. Once the cages are destroyed, hover over to the platform and grab your armor.
