The critically acclaimed action-adventure game Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is receiving an official anime adaptation titled "Sekiro: No Defeat." Revealed at Gamescom 2025 and further detailed at SXSW 2026, the anime is set for a worldwide release in 2026, exclusively streaming on Crunchyroll outside of Japan. It will feature a special theatrical premiere in Japan.

Produced by ARCH and animated by Qzil.la alongside Studio Betta, the series is directed by Kenichi Kutsuna. The production emphasizes entirely hand-drawn 2D animation to capture the game's signature combat style. The soundtrack includes contributions from the late Ryuichi Sakamoto, and the original Japanese voice cast, including Daisuke Namikawa as Wolf (Sekiro) and Miyuki Satou as Kuro (The Divine Heir), will reprise their roles. Other confirmed returning cast members include Kenjiro Tsuda as Genichiro Ashina, Jin Urayama as the Sculptor, Shizuka Ito as Emma, Takaya Hashi as The Owl, and Tetsuo Kanao as Isshin Ashina.

While official details on the anime's structure and episode count are unannounced, community speculation suggests the first season may consist of around 12 episodes, potentially concluding with the battle at Ashina Castle. Trailers have showcased iconic bosses such as Gyoubu Oniwa, Corrupted Monk, Lady Butterfly, and Genichiro Ashina.
