Route 7

Follow this guide to navigate Route 7 in Pokémon X and Y, find berry fields, collect items like Miracle Seed and Heal Ball, and learn about Snorlax blocking your path.

Alright, so you've made it to Route 7! It's a pretty chill spot, and Shauna's going to catch up with you right away. She'll let you know that the folks you saw earlier are heading west, and for now, you can't go north-west. So, we'll follow the path west like she says.

You'll notice a path heading south. Go ahead and take it – it leads to a neat little area where you can help out with some berry fields. A friendly guy will show you the ropes of berry cultivation and even give you some goodies: Oran Berry x5, Pecha Berry x5, and the Sprinklotad tool. From now on, whenever you see soil where you can plant berries, feel free to use it!

After you water your planted berries and wait a bit (it's real-time, so patience is key!), they'll grow into plants you can harvest for even more berries. It's kind of like the old days in Gen III! You can also use the green composters to destroy three berries and make some Mulch. This stuff helps your berries grow even better.

If you want to dive deeper into the berry farming process, there's a farm in the north-east corner you can visit. Once you're done there, head to the south-west corner of the area to snag a Miracle Seed. After that, we'll head back out of this berry patch.

#012: Berry Power

Just a quick heads-up: Berries can be held by your Pokémon and have special effects. If the situation calls for it, your Pokémon will automatically eat the berry in battle to activate its effect. For instance, if a Pokémon is holding a Chesto Berry, they'll instantly recover from sleep!

Now, back to the main path. Head west, and you'll eventually run into those two guys from the castle again. They're standing next to a massive Snorlax that's blocking the road! Yep, you'll need to find the Poké Flute to wake it up, and that means heading to Parfum Palace, which is past Route 6 - Palais Lane. That's our next destination!

Before we head off to Route 6, though, take a moment to go north along the thin path next to the river. At the very end, you'll find a Heal Ball. Now, backtrack to the crossroads where you had the choice to go west or north-west earlier (where Shauna nudged you west). It's time to head north-west into Route 6!
