Ambrette Town

Ambrette Town is a key location in Pokémon X and Y, offering various activities and items. The aquarium serves as a gateway to the lower half of Route 8.

Upon arriving, your rival will guide you on what to do in town. After their advice, visit the Pokémon Center to heal your team and restock on items. Near the Pokémon Center, a person will give you TM94 - Rock Smash. Head into the nearby aquarium and descend to the lower level. A fisherman there will offer you an Old Rod, enabling you to fish for Pokémon.

The exit near the fisherman leads to Route 8, but you can explore it later. Return to town and head south. You'll find a person who offers a daily trade of a Poké Ball for a special ball. West of this person is a house with another daily event: a woman who rewards players for showing her Pokémon with specific stats.

Proceed south again and enter the hotel. On the bottom floor, on the east side, a girl will give you TM96 - Nature Power. Use the stairs on the west side to go upstairs. In the eastern room on the second floor, you'll find the O-Powers guy, who will give you a Sp. Def Power before leaving.

Exit the hotel and head north, then east. Enter the building you pass; this is the fossil lab. A Hiker inside will react if you show him a legendary Genesect. Your rival will join you in the eastern part of the lab. After speaking with the scientists, exit and head east into the gate. Speak with a girl wandering around to receive a Rocky Helmet.
