The FA MAS is a full-auto assault rifle that should be your primary weapon through the later stages of Metal Gear. Its high rate of fire can stop enemies and keep them incapacitated. Ammo for the FA MAS is not abundant in the early stages, but you will find it more commonly as you progress.

This weapon can be fired while running. However, since its ammo runs out quickly, it is wise to use it as little as possible. The gun also makes a considerable noise when fired, which can alert nearby guards (enemies). Unfortunately, there are no extra parts for this gun.
