How to Defeat Mr. Freeze

Learn how to defeat Mr. Freeze in Gotham Knights. This guide covers his attacks, weaknesses, and strategies to overcome this challenging boss fight.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Mr. Freeze is durable due to his armor.
• Vulnerable to incendiary damage.
• Resistant to cryogenic damage.
• Recommended level: 13 (Case File FR01: 1.4).

Phases:

1. Phase 1 (100% - 66% HP): Mr. Freeze uses individual attacks like Cryogenic Shot, Cryogenic Sweep, Cryogenic Missiles, Frost Jump, and Melee Swipe. Focus on dodging and dealing damage.
2. Phase 2 (66% - 33% HP): Mr. Freeze leaps onto his machine, which becomes destabilized. He remains impervious to damage while the machine unleashes dangerous cryogenic energy beams. Focus on running and dodging the beams.
3. Phase 3 (33% - 0% HP): Mr. Freeze continues his attacks, potentially combined with environmental hazards from his machine. Continue to dodge and attack.

Strategy:

• Preparation: Outlevel Mr. Freeze (recommended level 13). Obtain higher-tier gear (epic after Case File 05, legendary after Case File 06) by completing premeditated crimes. Equip incendiary weapons, especially a ranged option, and cryogenic-resistant armor.
• Combat - Melee: Melee combat is tricky due to Mr. Freeze's AoE attacks. If engaging in melee, focus on heavy attacks and get only one or two hits in before retreating.
• Combat - Ranged: Ranged attacks are safer and can be landed with impunity. Red Hood has an advantage with ranged combat. Keep distance, dodge attacks, and continuously fire.
• Dodging Attacks:
• Cryogenic Shot: Dodge laterally.
• Cryogenic Sweep: Outrun the sustained ice stream.
• Cryogenic Missiles: Keep moving to avoid the line of missiles and the persistent ice patches they leave.
• Frost Jump: Keep distance when he charges and leaps.
• Melee Swipe: Avoid when in close range.
• Machine Phase: When Mr. Freeze jumps on his machine, focus solely on running and evading the cryogenic beams. Do not attempt to attack him during this phase.
• General Tips: Don't get greedy with attacks. Observe Mr. Freeze's telegraphs for his attacks. If you're struggling to deal 100+ damage per hit, consider beefing up your character's stats and gear.
