Alright, so you're looking to get your hands on some Nth Metal in Gotham Knights, huh? This stuff is super important for crafting the best gear, especially those Legendary sets. Don't worry, it's not too complicated once you know where to look. Let's break down the main ways you can snag this valuable resource.

Talon Caches

First up, we've got the Talon Caches. Think of these as little hidden stashes scattered around Gotham. There are only five of them in total, and here's the kicker: only four of them actually give you Nth Metal. Each one hooks you up with 50 Nth Metal, so you'll end up with a total of 200 from these caches. The cool thing is, you can start hunting these down pretty early, as they become available around Case 03. You can even grab them before you're ready for Legendary Gear. Just remember, these are a finite source, meaning once you've opened them, that's it... unless you start a New Game+, then they'll respawn!

The Penguin Challenges

As you get further into the main story and start collecting blueprints for Legendary Gear, you'll notice that the challenges offered by various NPCs start giving out better rewards. The Penguin is one of your best bets for crafting materials, and he'll toss Nth Metal your way for completing his challenges. Now, the amount you get from these isn't huge, maybe around 20 or so each time. Plus, some of these challenges can be a bit of a pain. You might be asked to tackle a specific type of Crime on Very High difficulty, and those don't always pop up when you want them to. You could be patrolling for a while before the right one appears.

Gotham’s Most Wanted

This is probably your best bet for getting a good chunk of Nth Metal at once. These are rare, notorious criminals who show up during Premeditated Crimes, but only on the Very High difficulty. You'll know one is around because one of the objectives will be to defeat them, and their name will be right there above their head. The tricky part is getting them to spawn – it's totally random. Your best bet is to focus on crimes that have a lot of enemies, as that seems to increase the chances. They're not drastically different from regular baddies, just a bit more health and a couple more attacks. But when you take one down, they drop a decent amount of Nth Metal, often enough to craft a piece of Legendary Gear right then and there. While there's a limited number of these guys, there should be enough to get you all the Legendary Gear you'll need.
