Walkthrough

    Begin by exploring Bran Bal. After a conversation with Garland, pick your party (Zidane is mandatory). Take the exit in the bottom right.

    Follow the path, taking stairs downwards and jumping across gaps to find a chest containing a Coronet.

    Continue north to the next screen and open the chest at the dead end for a Dragon Wrist.

    Return to where you saw the mysterious girl and go north. Open the chest to your left for an Elixir.

    Continue chasing the girl. When you reach webs on the right, climb down two levels and open the chest for a Remedy.

    Climb back up one level, jump over the small gap on the left, and find a chest hidden behind the wall containing a Mythril Racket.

    Climb down the nearby web and open the chest for a Demon’s Vest.

    Continue following the girl until she urges you to cross a bridge.

    On the next screen, climb the stairs, hug the left wall to find a secret passage leading down to a chest with a Minerva’s Plate.

    Climb the remaining stairs on the main path to trigger a scene.

    In the new area (Bran Bal), descend the staircase on the left. Find a path above it that leads underneath. At the end, hop to a floating platform with a chest containing a Flash Hat.

    Head back to the main path and enter the first building on the left for a scene.

    Go back inside the building you just exited and open the chest in the back for an Elixir.

    Exit and enter the northern building. Go down the stairs on the right side, and find an item (Elixir) in front of a hole in the foreground.

    Head back upstairs and enter the building on the right. Open the chest for a Wing Edge.

    Check the moving basket in the back of the same room to free Moorock the moogle. Use the Mognet option to receive a letter and access his shop.

    Exit and re-enter the same building to find Stiltzkin. Purchase his item set for 2,222 Gil to obtain a Diamond, Ether, and Elixir.

    Exit the building and head back to the left side of the “lake.” Locate the small “land” area on the northern shore to find a chest containing Angel Earrings.

    Head back into the northern building on the left and go downstairs. Talk to the female NPC at the front of the room to trigger a conversation.

    Go back up the stairs for more dialogue. You will then gain control of Eiko.

    Trigger the ATE Place to Call Home.

    Exit the inn to see the ATE Where the Heart Is.

    Head to the right screen to trigger the ATE Came into this World.

    Go inside the north building, where NPCs are gathered around a crystal-like object, to trigger the ATE The Truth.

    Find Quina in the same room as the final ATE.

    Find Vivi on the right screen of the main outside area.

    Find Amarant by the two sets of stairs near the entrance.

    Equip Quina, Vivi, and Amarant. Walk through the green light by Amarant.

    Speak with the female NPC you've been chasing. The game will then take you to Pandemonium.
Tips
  • Steiner and Dagger are unavailable in Bran Bal, so plan your party accordingly.
  • Moorock the moogle offers new equipment in his shop.
  • Stiltzkin offers a valuable item set for 2,222 Gil.
