Learn about Spider traits in Dungeon Keeper, including their freezing ability and hunting habits.

Spiders are not very common in the single-player mode of Dungeon Keeper. They first appear in the mission Flowerhat and can be attracted in a few other levels later on. Once a Spider reaches level 4, it will attempt to freeze prisoners, which they seem to enjoy.

Spiders naturally hunt Flies, and this behavior carries over into Dungeon Keeper. If a Spider and a Fly share the same lair, the Spider will hunt the Fly. It is recommended to remove the Fly from the lair, as the Spider is superior in all aspects except speed. Spiders can perform adequately in Workshops, but they do not have any other specific tasks at which they excel.
