Chapter 8 - Nautica

The Strand: Look behind the wrecked ship for a chest with a MINI MEDAL. Talk to Jade for a scene, then to Dave to get your next destination. You can explore islands, shoot crossbow targets, and gather treasures. Beware of tough enemies like the King Squid. Sail to Lonalulu in the southeast.

Lonalulu: Go through the tunnel from the pier for a scene. Talk to the pink-speech-bubble woman for info on Kai's mother. Loot the southern end of the pier. Go to the north end, down the steps to the beach, and find a chest under the stairs with 3000G.

In the main town, examine Kai's house bookshelf and find minor loot outside. In the Armourer's, examine the bookshelf for the recipe book 'My First Pearly Pieces'. In the weaponsmith's, find the recipe book 'Building a Blade of Blistering Brutality' behind the vendor.

The inn is run by children. Search the main dormitory wardrobe for 400G. East of the item shop, go down past the bar to the cliff for barrels, one containing a MINI MEDAL. Enter the dwelling east of the item shop and search the wardrobe for AEROFOIL EARRINGS.

Continue north to another dwelling. Find minor loot outside and examine two bookshelves inside. Past a locked red door, find a SEED OF DEFENCE and 100G in a barrel.

Go to the northern section of town via the central steps. Grab minor loot behind the imposing dwelling and find a PINK PEARL in the main room wardrobe. Find more minor loot at another dwelling to the north.

Ensure it is daytime. Go to the church for a scene. Return to your ship and sail southwest towards the quest marker.

Boss Battle - Tentacular: Defeat the main body. Its tentacles must be defeated first to reduce its offensive capabilities. Tentacular has powerful physical attacks and can hit the entire party. Use Rab's Right as Rain or Sylvando's Hustle Dance for healing, and Erik's Boulderbringer or Scorched Earth for damage. Grinding against Liquid Metal Slimes or having pepped-up reserves can help.

After the battle, you'll be at the Lonalulu bar. Leave for a scene. Talk to Kai at the docks. Go to the church in the north, through the northwest door, and grab minor loot. Make your way to Saikiki Beach.

Saikiki Beach: Go to the hut in the west and look behind it for a chest with a MINI MEDAL. Talk to Kai in the hut for a scene and receive the LOVER'S VEIL quest item.

Zoom to The Strand, talk to Michelle, and tell her the truth. Talk to Dave to return to Lonalulu.

Back on Saikiki Beach, go to Kai's house in Lonalulu. Talk to him and return to the beach for a scene. Go to the cabin, grab a PITCH PEARL from the wardrobe, and talk to Kai.

Zoom to The Strand again, go to where Michelle was, and open the chest for LORELEI'S HARP. This allows use of glowing columns on the ocean surface to reach new areas like Insula Centralis.

Sail up the channel to the Inland Sea (or Zoom to Zwaardsrust) and use Lorelei's Harp on the glowing column to reach Nautica.

Nautica: Talk to the mermaid near your starting point to return to the surface. Go through the tunnel for a scene. Cross the bridge. Talk to the mermaid in the purple halter top for healing. The item shop is open; ignore the weapon and armour shop.

Go to the palace platform. Check Michelle's house in the southeast for a bookshelf. Check behind the palace for a chest with a MINI MEDAL. Save your game inside the palace.
