Chapter 17 - Mount Huji

Use a Vicious Runny Eggsoskeleton mount to leap up platforms out of the Pit Cave.

Cross the bridge to Arboria.

Enter Arboria and witness a scene.

Follow Serena to the Grove of Repose for another scene.

Return to Arboria for another scene.

Go to the cathedral and talk to Benedictus.

Rest at the inn.

Awaken and go to the platform next to the inn for a scene.

After the scene, Serena will have acquired her sister's spells and abilities, expanding her character builder. You will also receive Veronica's ability points from Act 1.

Return to the inn to complete your rest.

The next afternoon, go downstairs and talk to Serena.

Make your way to the Mountaintop exit and proceed through.

Go up the path to the temple at Luminary's Landing summit for a scene.

During the scene, you will summon Cetacea, a flying whale, and acquire the Calamus Flute, which allows you to summon her anytime.

If this is your first playthrough, you will unlock the Loveliest Catch trophy.

You can now explore the skies via whale way stations. Zoom back to Arboria.

Agree to help the minstrel standing outside the shop to initiate the quest 'A Long-Lost Literary Love'.

When ready to proceed, summon Cetacea and follow the quest marker to the island in the sky mentioned by Father Benedictus.

Enter the Temple of Dawn.

If you need Colourful Cocoons, there is a Sparkly Spot.

Head through the doors for a scene with the sole remaining Watcher.

Enter the Chamber of the Guiding Light and examine it for a scene, after which you acquire the Guiding Light key item.

Examine the three seedlings in the chamber for various scenes from the past.

Your goals are to obtain ore and a forging hammer, and then forge the Sword of Light. The Watcher directs you to the Battleground for the ore. Hotto and Gallopolis will be added to your Zoom locations.

Summon Cetacea and fly south to The Battleground.

Upon entering The Battleground, use the Guiding Light on the pillar to proceed.

Make your way down the levels of The Battleground.

On Level B1, there are no caverns of interest, but you can drop to the level below from the end of the southeast cavern. Follow the main path down.

On Level B2, enter the northern cavern and proceed to the southern chamber to find a chest containing a MINI MEDAL. The northwest cavern is inaccessible. Return to the central ramp and follow it down.

On Level B3, look in the northern chamber for a chest containing the recipe book 'An Encyclopaedia of Expert Equipment'. Return to the central path. Ignore the southern cavern unless you want Mythril Ore from the Sparkly Spot. Continue down.

On Level B4, go to the end of the northeast cavern to find a chest that is a Pandora's Box enemy; upon defeat, it drops a SEED OF SKILL. Return to the central ramp and follow it to the bottom. Defeat Dragooner enemies and use one as a mount to reach the previously inaccessible cavern on Level B2. Inside is another Pandora's Box enemy that drops a SEED OF SKILL.

Return to Level B4 and unlock the campsite in the western cavern. Save and rest. Follow the path northwest and shimmy down the vine.

You will emerge on Level B8, but most of it is inaccessible from your starting point. Shimmy around the ledge and follow the path northeast to Level B9.

On Level B9, go south to the central cavern, then east to find a chest containing the 'Sacred Styles for Saintly Ladies' recipe book.

Follow the path south to find a lost Puff-puff girl. Agree to her offer and follow her for your last puff-puff to unlock the Puff-Puff Buff trophy.

Return to the central cavern and continue south to find the central path leading up. There are two Sparkly Spots and a chest under the ramp containing an AGATE OF EVOLUTION.

Go up the ramp to Level B8, noting the Ultimate Key door.

On Level B8, the small western cavern has an inscription. Go west into the next cavern to emerge into an open area with a chest containing a CHRONOCRYSTAL.

Take the path south and east to find a chest containing a BRAIN DRAINER.

Return to the central ramp. Ignore the eastern cavern unless you want Molten Globules from the Sparkly Spot. Continue up to Level B7.

On Level B7, enter the western cavern and continue northwest to find a chest containing the BAD AXE. Return to the central ramp and continue up. The northeast cavern on this level only contains a Sparkly Spot. Continue to B6.

On Level B6, take the southwestern tunnel and defeat a Dragooner enemy to use its mount. Fly out of the current cavern and go into the cavern to the southwest.
