Memory 02: 02 Royal Misfortune

Begin the mission by diving off the Jackdaw and swimming to shore.

Optional Objective: Kill eight enemies using powder kegs. To achieve this, lure a large patrol to a powder keg near the shore and shoot it. More kegs are scattered throughout the settlement if needed.

After completing the optional objective, return to the southern part of the area and deal with any hostiles.

Head northwest up the dirt ramp.

At the gate, use a whistle to lure a guard and perform a corner takedown.

Enter the stalking zone on the left, move behind the hut, and then race to the haystack below the wooden wall to the northwest when clear.

Climb the wooden supports to the top of the wall and enter the stalking zone behind the fence.

Move right, whistle one of the two guards near the tents, and assassinate him from the bush.

Sprint past the tents to the far bush and kill the other guard.

From in front of the tents, look north through the open gate. Use Eagle Vision to identify your target on the ship.

The target will flee. Ignore or use a smoke bomb on his guards, then leap of faith from the tree branches into the water. The Jackdaw will arrive; board it.

Part 2: Pursuit - Chase the target's ship. Avoid blockades and incoming fire. Use the swivel gun to destroy fire barrels and maneuver around mortars.

Part 3: Naval Battle - In open water, four frigates will join the fight. Let them engage the target initially. Avoid hitting allied ships when attacking the target to prevent them from turning hostile. Reduce the target ship's health to a low level.

Move in close to initiate the boarding procedure.

Part 4: Assassinate - During boarding, use a lift to reach a mast platform and jump to the target ship's mast.

Equip the rope dart, highlight the target, and use the rope dart. Walk backward off the boom to hang him, completing the optional objective and the mission.
