Complete Memory 09: De Feyet's Last Stand in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. Learn how to assassinate the governor, achieve full synchronization, and complete optional objectives.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Run to the front gate and let guards shoot you with a blunderbuss. This will cause the governor to flee.
  2. 2
Chase the governor, ignoring other guards.
  3. 3
To complete the optional objective 'Firepower' (Kill 5 guards at once with a blunderbuss), position yourself near a large group of guards and use the blunderbuss. Be careful not to hit the governor.
  4. 4
To complete the optional objective 'His Own Medicine' (Disarm the Governor and kill him with the branding iron), first unequip all weapons except the blunderbuss. Counter the governor with your bare hands, then press X or A to disarm him.
  5. 5
Attack the disarmed governor until Adé finishes him with the branding iron.
  6. 6
If you need to clear out other guards, lead them to the back of the house on the right of the footbridge to pick them off more easily. The governor may wait in the courtyard.
  7. 7
Kill the governor to end the mission and the DLC.
Tips
  • The group of at least 6 guards near the front gate is ideal for the 'Firepower' objective.
  • Leading guards to the back of the house can make clearing them out easier, and sometimes the governor will wait in the courtyard.
