    First things first, head to the green search area on your map. Once you're there, make your way to the back of the marketplace, near the water. Activate Eagle Vision to spot your target.

    After a short cutscene, the diplomat will start moving. Use Eagle Vision again to tag him. Now, here's where you need to be a little sneaky. Go through the open fence to your right. You'll want to run along the inside of the fence that runs parallel to the street the diplomat is walking on.

    When he turns onto the next street, duck through a gap in the fence, cross the street, and then go through another gap in the fence a little to your right. Keep tailing him from the inside of this compound.

    As he exits the gate, he'll pause for a moment. Stay inside the compound and head towards the western side. Hop over the fence and make a run for the viewpoint marker on your map. Directly north of that, across the street, you'll see a house with a ladder. Climb it and use the northern part of the roof to dive into the hay bale below.

    Now, just wait for the diplomat to arrive. He'll stop right in front of the hay bale. When he does, quickly assassinate him. Boom! First optional objective complete.

    After that, a cutscene will play, and you'll find yourself in new surroundings. Head forward and up the stairs towards the green waypoint marker.

    When you reach the marker, use Eagle Vision to identify your target – he's the guy giving a speech in the middle of the square. Be careful, though; he'll recognize you if you stay in his line of sight for too long, even though the guards won't attack.

    As soon as you've tagged him, move forward a bit. At the end of the building on your left, there's a small sheltered area. Sit down on the bench there to watch the speech without being spotted.

    Here's the second optional objective: assassinate the target from a bench. Luckily, the bench you're on is one he'll walk past after his speech. Just stay put until he starts making his rounds. When he passes by, hit the assassinate button. Easy peasy.

    Once that's done, hop over the wall into the water and make your escape. Find a hiding spot, and once things have calmed down, a new waypoint will appear. Head there, chat with your crew, and you'll wrap up the sequence.
Tips
  • For the first optional objective, staying inside the fences and using the hay bale is the safest bet. Don't get spotted before you can make the assassination.
  • For the second optional objective, make sure you're on the bench *before* the target starts his rounds. If you miss the window, you might have to try again.
