The Gallery in Aion is a hidden feature that allows Daevas to collect and view unique, often rare, in-game artwork and lore snippets. These pieces are not just decorative; many provide crucial insights into Atreia's history, forgotten heroes, and the true nature of the Aetheric Field. Completing the Gallery is a monumental task, requiring dedication, exploration, and sometimes, a little luck. This guide will help you uncover every piece.

Accessing the Gallery

To access your personal Gallery, you must first complete the quest "Echoes of the Past". This quest becomes available at level 30 and can be initiated by speaking with Archivist Lyra in the Library of the Sages in Sanctum (for Elyos) or Archivist Kael in the Temple of Knowledge in Pandaemonium (for Asmodians). Upon completion, you will receive the Aetheric Lens, an item that allows you to view collected Gallery pieces from your inventory.

Types of Gallery Pieces

Gallery pieces are categorized for easier tracking:

• Historical Fragments: Depict ancient events, forgotten wars, and the creation of Atreia.
• Character Portraits: Illustrate key figures, both celebrated and infamous, throughout Aion's history.
• Creature Studies: Detailed depictions and lore of Atreia's diverse fauna, including rare and legendary beasts.
• Architectural Blueprints: Schematics and historical context for iconic structures and ruins.
• Aetheric Phenomena: Visualizations and explanations of the magical energies that shape your world.

Acquiring Gallery Pieces

Gallery pieces are acquired through various methods, often requiring keen observation and a willingness to explore off the beaten path.

Quest Rewards

Certain quests, particularly those focused on lore and exploration, will reward you with Gallery pieces upon completion. Always check quest rewards carefully!

• Elyos Example: The quest "The Shard of Memory" in Eltnen (Level 35, NPC: Historian Theron) rewards you with the "Fragment of the Cataclysm" Historical Fragment.
• Asmodian Example: The quest "Whispers of the Fallen" in Morheim (Level 35, NPC: Loremaster Varkas) rewards you with the "Portrait of Lord Israphel" Character Portrait.

Hidden Locations & Interactable Objects

Many Gallery pieces are found by interacting with specific objects or examining unusual environmental details in remote or hidden areas. Look for glowing particles, ancient tablets, or strange runes.

• Eltnen: In the Eracus Desert, near the entrance to the Eracus Temple Cavern, search for a weathered stone tablet partially buried in the sand. Interacting with it reveals the "Ancient Eracus Script" Architectural Blueprint.
• Morheim: Within the Altar of Avarice, on the upper platform overlooking the central chamber, a faint Aetheric glow emanates from a cracked pedestal. Examining it yields the "Avarice Rune Diagram" Aetheric Phenomena.
• Heiron: Deep within the Kishar Observation Post, on the highest spire, a hidden alcove contains a pristine scroll. This grants the "Kishar's Vision" Historical Fragment.
• Beluslan: In the frozen wastes of Hoarfrost Shelter, behind the largest ice formation, a frozen creature is encased in ice. Inspecting it closely adds the "Ice Claw Beast Study" Creature Study to your Gallery.

Rare Mob Drops

A select few Gallery pieces are exceedingly rare drops from specific named monsters or world bosses. These often require multiple attempts and group coordination.

• "Balaur War Chronicle" Historical Fragment: Drops from Commander Bakarma in the Dark Poeta instance (Hard Mode).
• "Drakan Anatomy Chart" Creature Study: Drops from Stormwing in the Theobomos Lab instance.
• "Tiamat's Shadow" Character Portrait: Extremely rare drop from Tiamat herself in the Dragon Lord's Sanctuary.

Crafting & Alchemy

Some unique Gallery pieces can only be obtained through high-level crafting or alchemy. These often require rare materials and specific recipes.

• "Aetheric Resonance Diagram" Aetheric Phenomena: Requires 450 Aethercrafting skill. Recipe drops from elite mobs in the Silentera Canyon. Materials include Pure Aether Crystal (gathered in Silentera) and Essence of Mana (crafted by Alchemists).
• "Siel's Relic Sketch" Architectural Blueprint: Requires 450 Handicrafting skill. Recipe can be purchased from a hidden vendor, Merchant Zirius, who spawns randomly in the Abyss Core. Materials include Ancient Wood Planks (gathered in Reshanta) and Mythril Ore (mined in Reshanta).

Tips for Completionists

• Use a Checklist: Keep track of which pieces you have and which you still need. Online databases or fan-made checklists are invaluable.
• Explore Thoroughly: Don't just follow quest markers. Venture into every nook and cranny of each zone, especially ruins, caves, and high ledges.
• Join a Legion: Many rare mob drops and crafting materials are easier to acquire with a coordinated group.
• Check Broker Regularly: While most Gallery pieces are soulbound, some rare crafting recipes or materials needed for them might appear on the broker.
• Patience is Key: Acquiring all Gallery pieces is a long-term goal. Don't get discouraged by low drop rates or elusive hidden objects.
