Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising, known in Japan as Game Boy Wars Advance 2, is the second game in the Advance Wars series and fifth in the Game Boy Wars series. It introduces new COs, Units, and features. A remake is included in Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp for Nintendo Switch.
Plot
While the Allied Nations recover from war, the Black Hole Army invades Macro Land with new weapons. Four new COs join the original Black Hole forces under Sturm's command, tasked with capturing the four countries. The Allied Nations must unite to repel the invasion. In the final battle against Sturm and the Death Ray, Hawke betrays Sturm, killing him and taking over Black Hole.
New Unit
Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising introduced the Neotank, the strongest Tank developed by Black Hole.
New Features
New terrain features include:
- Silos: Rockets fired by Infantry or Mech units that deal 3 damage to all units in a small area, usable once per battle.
- Pipeline and Pipe seams: Impenetrable pipes that block movement, with destructible Pipe seams allowing passage.
