Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising introduces several new elements to the series. The Black Hole army launches a large-scale invasion of Macro Land, utilizing new weapons and recruiting four new Commanding Officers: Hawke, Lash, Adder, and Flak, joining Sturm. The Allied Nations must unite to repel this invasion.

New Unit:

1. Neotank - Developed by Black Hole, this is the strongest Tank in the game, surpassing the Medium Tank.

New Features:

• Silos: Fired by Infantry or Mech units, these deal 3 damage to all units in a two-square radius, usable once per battle.
• Pipelines and Pipe seams: Impenetrable pipes that block movement, with destructible Pipe seams allowing passage.
• Black Hole Weapons: Various unique weapons used exclusively by the Black Hole army, such as the Black Cannon.

New COs and CO Powers:

• Orange Star: Hachi
• Blue Moon: Colin
• Yellow Comet: Sensei
• Green Earth: Jess
• Black Hole: Hawke, Lash, Adder, Flak

All COs now have a normal CO Power and a Super CO Power, with Sturm being the exception, only having a Super CO Power.
