Walkthrough
- 1Find Shen Yanping, the Butler of Cloudspire City. From the shrine, go through the shortcut into the house opposite, or through the open house down the street, then descend stairs and open the shortcut. Follow the backstreet to a ladder, climb up, then climb another ladder to meet Shen Yanping.
- 2He asks you to retrieve a Wedding Attire. Head down the street, enter the building on the right, and speak to the person with the antler hat at the back to join the Yonder Gang.
- 3You can now speak to Mathstick and Glut. Go back outside and up the ladders you climbed earlier to speak with Shen Yanping again.
- 4Descend both ladders. On the street, look left for destructible wooden objects blocking a cave entrance. Enter the cave and descend to find a ladder leading to the Cloudspire Bazaar.
- 5Proceed through the Bazaar, killing enemies. Near the end, by a tent close to where you drop back to the Shrine, you'll find Glut. Speak to him and choose the dialogue option indicating you are part of the gang. Tell him to return to the Yonder Gang; choosing otherwise sends him to The Shaft.
- 6Rest at the shrine. Return to the Yonder Gang and speak to Glut, then Shen Jing’an to receive the Wedding Attire for retrieving Glut.
- 7Go back to Shen Yanping by the ladder and hand over the Wedding Attire.
- 8Continue along the main pathway from the Butler towards Cloudspire Palace. Reach the palace shrine.
- 9Proceed up the main staircase, take the right path, open the door ahead, and follow the corridor. At the back of the room, find a switch to open the treasure room.
- 10Inside, a man and woman will become hostile. Use the button on the small wooden fence in the middle to take an elevator to the top of the palace.
- 11Enter the throne room to the left. Speak to Huang Yan and hand over the Wedding Attire.
- 12You will be presented with a choice:
- 13Feign ignorance: This continues the quest. Proceed to the Chapter 2 boss in the Palace (right and down from the Shrine). Complete The Shaft and the boss to proceed to Chapter 3.
- 14Tell of the Butler’s betrayal: This kills the Butler and the Yonder Gang. Return to the house where you first met the Yonder Gang to obtain the Butler’s armor set and end the quest.
Chapter 3 Continuation: Agree to Help Heal Shen Yanping
After arriving at the Refugee Camp from Mt. Zhenwu Battlefield shrine, find the Yonder Gang in one of the camp areas below the main camp. Shen Yanping will be ill.
- To heal Shen Yanping, you need a True Origin Pill, which drops from the South General Boss in the Mt Zhenwu Temple area. This boss is on the main route towards the Chapter 3 boss.
- After obtaining the pill, open a shortcut to the Refugee Camp by following a wooden bridge above where you battled the boss. Take the True Origin Pill to Shen Yanping.
- Defeat the Chapter 3 main story boss beyond the Altar Gate shrine. Huang Jian’e can be summoned to help if needed.
- Follow the pathway down towards a cave. Ignore the Storyteller for now, as proceeding with him skips to Chapter 4.
- Go through the cave. At a fork, turn left to reach the Overlook Ferry Shrine.
- Go down the pathway from the shrine to find Shen Jing’an and Shen Yanping. Jing’an will mention they are ready to leave but wants Matchstick and Glut to accompany them.
