    First Meeting - Worship’s Rise: Reverent Temple: Leave Reverent Temple and go through the doors to the right. Follow the path to the riverbank to find He Youzai. Speak to him and exhaust his dialogue to receive a Lantern and a Cornucopia Elixir.

    Lost Package: After defeating the Tang Palace Maid boss in Buddha Cliffs, exit the boss arena via the top exit. Outside the cave, near grass and bamboo, find a pink item: the Lost Package.

    Second Meeting - Worship’s Rise: Doomwillow Beach: After leaving Bandit Cave, climb the ladder to Doomwillow Beach. Follow the path to the end to find He Youzai by the doors. Hand over the Lost Package to unlock the Pirate Armor Set and the Records of the Southern Archipelago Key Item.

    Third Meeting - Worship’s Rise: Reverent Temple: After waking up at the Temple post-Tang Emperor’s Palace boss fight, speak to He Youzai on the first floor near the donation box. Choose to tell him about the Emperor’s Palace to obtain 1x Everblend Brew and 1x Cured Jerky. He will mention heading to Cloudspire.

    Fourth Meeting - Cloudspire: Snowpeak Pass: From the Snowpeak Pass shrine, enter the fort and go to the upper floor. Cross a small bridge to a house with pinwheels outside. Inside, find He Youzai. Speak to him to receive a Cornucopia Elixir.

    Fifth Meeting - Cloudspire: Bride’s Boudoir: Continue through Cloudspire until you reach the Bride’s Boudoir shrine. Before speaking to He Youzai, find the Mad Doctor’s Notes. These are found after defeating the Mad Doctor in the Shaft Entrance, in a room with maid corpses. He Youzai is across the bridge opposite the Bride’s Boudoir shrine. Hand over the Mad Doctor’s Notes and Research Scrap 1 to receive Cured Jerky. He will suggest heading to Bai Mansion later.

    Sixth Meeting - Mt. Zhenwu: Refugee Camp: At the Refugee Camp, find He Youzai at the opposite end of the shrine, up a long ladder near the White-Robed Elder. If coming from Battlefield Site, he is in a small camp beside the long ladder. Exhaust his dialogue (and Fang Yao’s, if present) to progress.
Tips
  • Completing Fang Yao’s quest in Cloudspire City will result in her presence during later meetings with He Youzai and is necessary to obtain Research Scrap 3, which is important for He Youzai’s quest and certain endings.
