Guide your civilization to thrive in The Universim! Learn how to manage essential needs like water and food, and ensure your Nuggets' happiness for a flourishing society.

Alright, let's get your civilization started off right in The Universim! This guide is all about making sure your little Nuggets are happy and have everything they need to grow. Think of it as setting up a comfy home base for them.

The Tutorial: First off, the game's gonna offer you a quick tutorial. It's a good idea to do it! It'll show you the basics of moving the camera and using some key controls. Don't skip it if you're new to the game.

The Mother Planet: When you start, you'll see your new home – the Mother Planet. It's randomly generated each time, so it'll always be a bit different, but it'll have familiar stuff like water, trees, and different seasons, kind of like Earth. This is where you'll build everything.

The Epicenter: This is your very first building. It's super important because it's the heart of your settlement and it'll pop out your first four Nuggets (two adults, two kids). When you're placing it, try to find a spot near water, trees, and rocks. Having these resources close by means your Nuggets won't have to walk forever to get what they need, saving you precious time.

To place the Epicenter, just left-click where you want it. You'll get a confirmation prompt, so make sure you're happy with the spot!

Construction Essentials

With your first Nuggets ready to go, the adults will start gathering resources. Your first priority should be building a Well. Click that hammer icon in the bottom left to open the Buildings menu, then find the Well under the Epicenter category. You'll see a silhouette of the well under your mouse; place it near a water source. The game will show you how good the water source is with numbers – aim for the highest!

While the well is building, think about your water situation. If you have a couple of water spots nearby, you could set up more Water Pumps or even Fisher Piers to get food. Having more water access really speeds things up for these vital resources. Once the well is done, get a Water Pump going, as most buildings need one to function.

Food is Key: After the pump, it's time to think about food. You can either go the fishing route with Fisher Piers, or build Farms. If you choose farms, you might need another Water Pump to keep those crops happy and hydrated. Different crops have different needs – some like certain temperatures or biomes, and some give more food but take longer to grow. Try to pick a crop that doesn't need too much water to start.

Maintenance Matters: By now, you should have more adults working. Your next crucial building is the Engineer's Hut. This lets you repair buildings, which is super important! If buildings fall apart, you'll have to rebuild them from scratch, wasting resources and time. Also, think about building a Hospital or a Cemetery. Injured Nuggets lose health if not treated, and unburied dead Nuggets can spread illness. Keeping your Nuggets healthy prevents a population collapse.

Extra Comforts: Once the basics are covered, you can build an Eatery to turn raw food into prepared meals, making your Nuggets happier. You can also build a Forecast Tower to get a heads-up on future weather and seasons, which helps with planning.

Keep Growing

As your population grows, you'll need to build more of everything – more water pumps, farms, fishing huts, hospitals, and so on. The game currently has a cap on how many Nuggets you can have, but that's expected to change as the game develops.
