Charts & Treasure

The Great Sea holds countless secrets beneath its waves. To truly master navigation and uncover every hidden treasure, you'll need to collect all 49 Sea Charts (including the Great Sea Chart and the 8 Triforce Charts). Each chart often leads to a valuable treasure, including Rupees, Magic Jars, or even Pieces of Heart. Remember to use the Treasure Chart item to pinpoint the exact location of sunken chests.

Triforce Charts & Shards (8 Total)

These are critical for game completion and lead to the eight Triforce Shards. Each chart must be deciphered by Tingle for 398 Rupees before you can locate the corresponding shard. The shards themselves are found in sunken chests.

1. Triforce Chart 1:
   • Location: Great Sea, Sector F2 (Isle of Steel).
   • Acquisition: Found in a chest inside the fortress on Isle of Steel after defeating all enemies.
   • Shard Location: Great Sea, Sector G2 (Northern Triangle Island).
2. Triforce Chart 2:
   • Location: Great Sea, Sector C4 (Overlook Island).
   • Acquisition: Found in a chest on Overlook Island, accessible via Hookshot.
   • Shard Location: Great Sea, Sector F6 (Gannet's Peak).
3. Triforce Chart 3:
   • Location: Great Sea, Sector E4 (Bird's Peak Rock).
   • Acquisition: Use a Hyoi Pear to guide a seagull to the switch on the highest peak of Bird's Peak Rock. A chest will appear.
   • Shard Location: Great Sea, Sector D4 (Needle Rock Isle).
4. Triforce Chart 4:
   • Location: Great Sea, Sector D6 (Ghost Ship).
   • Acquisition: Found in a chest on the Ghost Ship. The Ghost Ship appears at night in specific sectors, but always at D6 after you have the Ghost Ship Chart.
   • Shard Location: Great Sea, Sector F4 (Stone Watcher Island).
5. Triforce Chart 5:
   • Location: Great Sea, Sector A7 (Diamond Steppe Island).
   • Acquisition: Found in a chest on the highest platform of Diamond Steppe Island, accessible via Hookshot.
   • Shard Location: Great Sea, Sector C6 (Cyclops Reef).
6. Triforce Chart 6:
   • Location: Great Sea, Sector B5 (Southern Fairy Island).
   • Acquisition: Bomb the cracked wall on Southern Fairy Island to reveal a cave. The chart is inside.
   • Shard Location: Great Sea, Sector B2 (Private Oasis).
7. Triforce Chart 7:
   • Location: Great Sea, Sector G7 (Spectacle Island).
   • Acquisition: Win the cannon mini-game on Spectacle Island with a high score.
   • Shard Location: Great Sea, Sector E2 (Bomb Island).
8. Triforce Chart 8:
   • Location: Great Sea, Sector G4 (Two-Eye Reef).
   • Acquisition: Destroy all cannons on the platforms of Two-Eye Reef. A chest will appear.
   • Shard Location: Great Sea, Sector E6 (Angular Isles).

Regular Sea Charts (40 Total)

These charts lead to various treasures, including Rupees, Magic Jars, and sometimes even Pieces of Heart. They are obtained from several sources:

• Dungeon Chests: Many dungeons contain Treasure Charts as rewards for solving puzzles or defeating mini-bosses.
• Defeating Enemies: Certain powerful enemies (e.g., Big Octos, Gyorgs, Wizzrobes) sometimes drop Treasure Charts.
• Mini-Games: Winning certain mini-games (e.g., Boating Course, Flight Control Platform) can reward you with charts.
• Side Quests: Completing specific side quests for NPCs can sometimes yield a Treasure Chart.
• Beating Reefs: Clearing out all cannons on the various "Eye Reef" islands (e.g., Three-Eye Reef, Four-Eye Reef) often rewards a chart.
• Island Exploration: Some charts are simply found in chests on islands, sometimes requiring bombs, the Hookshot, or the Deku Leaf to reach.

Strategy for Sunken Treasure: Once you have a deciphered Triforce Chart or a regular Treasure Chart, sail to the marked sector on your Sea Chart. A glowing light will indicate the exact spot. Equip your Grappling Hook and use it to retrieve the chest from the seabed. Be prepared for potential enemies like Octoroks or Kargarocs that might appear when you stop your boat.
