- 2Go east two rooms and exit back to the overworld.
- 3Go north through two bony tunnels and loop around south.

- 6Follow the path east and then south to exit the Skeleton Forest.
- 7Head south from the forest exit, defeating Taros and Moblins.
- 8Pass the fortune teller's shop and continue south into the Village of Outcasts.
- 9In the northeastern part of the village, enter the house and find a chest with 300 Rupees on the other side of the wall.
- 10Go to the southern end of the village, turn west, and find a small hut with a cracked wall. Bomb it open.
- 11Go down the steps inside the hut to find another chest with 300 Rupees.
- 12Go to the house in the northwest corner with a treasure chest on its roof. This is the Treasure Chest Game.
- 13Play the Treasure Chest Game, which costs 30 Rupees per play, to try and win Piece of Heart #19. You have two chances per play and there are sixteen chests in total.

- 15Pull on the statue to open the entrance and enter Thieves' Town.
Tips
- The Village of Outcasts is populated by Moblins, Hyu (Dark World Poes), skeletal Cuccos, and Pikku (fox-like thieves that steal Rupees, Bombs, and Arrows).
- The Treasure Chest Game prize, Piece of Heart #19, is randomized. You may need to play multiple times. Using a Restore Point on the Virtual Console can help cheat the mini-game.
- After obtaining the Heart Piece, consider maxing out your Bombs and Arrows at the Pond of Happiness in the Light World, or purchasing Blue Potions for your Bottles.
- A regular item shop is located in the eastern part of the village, accessible by hammering down posts blocking the way.
