Walkthrough
- 1Begin in a sandy hub room with four Green Leevers and a Beamos. Avoid the Beamos' laser, which deals a full heart's worth of damage. Defeat the Leevers (two hits each).
- 2Go to the northeastern part of the first screen, lift pots to the east to proceed north.
- 3On the next screen, avoid the quicksand created by Red Devalants, which emerge from the sand and shoot fireballs. Defeat them (two hits each).
- 4To get the dungeon map, take either of the two northern doors next to the northeast door. In this long rectangular room, defeat the two Leevers and two Green Eyegores (use pots or the Bow for Eyegores). Step on the switch under the north central pot to reveal a chest containing the Map.
- 5Exit this room and take the northwest northern door. Encounter a Blue Devalant (which does not shoot fire).
- 6In the next room, use the lanterns as cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects) (a surface that provides protection from enemy fire) from the Beamos. The Small Key #1 is on top of the lantern in the northwest corner; dash into it to dislodge it when the Beamos isn't looking. Examine the Telepathy Tile to hear Sahasrahla. Return south.
- 7Dash back to the northeast corner of the hub room, then go south. Go through the locked door leading east.
- 8In this room, carefully eliminate the three Popo and the Beamos, using the numerous statues for cover. Open the chest to get the Compass.
- 9Quickly run north into the next room. Navigate the shots from the wall turrets on the east and west walls. Use Pegasus Boots if you find a large enough opening. (Hint: Leaving fewer enemies alive in neighboring rooms reduces turret fire.) The chest at the end contains the Big Key. Return south, dodging the Beamos and cannonfire, back to the hub room.
- 10Go to the northwest corner of the hub room. Instead of going north, go west.
- 11Another Beamos is present. Quickly pick up the northwest pot to uncover a switch. Step on it to open both doors, then head north.
- 12In the next room, you will find the Power Glove in a big chest. You can now lift certain heavy objects. Return south.
- 13Step on the switch again and head back east into the hub room.
- 14Go to the southwest part of the hub room, fighting Blue Devalants and Leevers. Take the door in the far southwest corner.
- 15Act fast to deal with the Beamos. Go to the western set of blocks and push the third block from the west wall north. This opens the north door. Go through.
- 16This room contains the dungeon's Fairy fountain with two Fairies. Grab them, then return south.
- 17Swiftly go through the south exit to emerge outside. Go down the steps, being careful not to fall off the ledge.
- 18Head south until you find Piece of Heart #8 guarded by a Vulture. Fight the Vulture and claim your prize.
- 19Backtrack north, past the dungeon exit, to the north wall of the desert. Venture east to find a different dungeon entrance.
Tips
- Beamos lasers deal a full heart's worth of damage and cannot be avoided by stunning or defeating the Beamos.
- Use statues and lanterns as cover from Beamos and turret fire.
- The Pegasus Boots are useful for navigating large openings and avoiding turret fire.
- If you leave enough enemies alive in neighboring rooms, the wall turrets will fire fewer shots.
- There are two alternate ways to exit this dungeon due to the Book of Mudora moving stones at the main entrance, which is now cut off.
