You've likely tackled a Divine Beast or two and are starting to think about how to really optimize your gear. This is where the 'mid-game' really shines, and having the right build can make a huge difference. Let's talk about what you should be looking out for!

Think about what you're struggling with or what you want to excel at. Are you dying too quickly? Do you need more damage? Or maybe you're finding exploration a bit tedious? Your gear choices should reflect your playstyle and current challenges.

Defense is Key (Early to Mid-Game):

• Soldier's Set: This is your bread and butter for defense early on. You can usually find pieces scattered around Hyrule Field and in Kakariko Village. It offers great base defense and is relatively easy to upgrade. Don't underestimate it!
• Armor of the Wild: If you've managed to complete all the Shrine Quests, you'll get this amazing set. It has a fantastic defense boost and the set bonus is invaluable for stamina recovery. It's a bit of a late-mid-game goal, but totally worth it.

Experiment with different arrow types – Bomb Arrows are great for groups, Shock Arrows for stunning, and Ice Arrows for freezing.

Stamina and Exploration:

• Barbarian Set / Phantom Set: If you're finding combat tough and want that extra attack power, these sets are excellent. The Barbarian Set is found in the Lomei Labyrinth (North and South), and the Phantom Set is part of the DLC. They significantly boost your attack power.
• Climbing Gear: Essential for exploration. The Climbing Bandana, Shirt, and Boots make scaling cliffs much faster and use less stamina. You'll find these pieces in various Shrines and as rewards for certain quests.
• Zora Armor: Absolutely vital for navigating waterfalls. This lets you swim upwards through waterfalls, opening up new paths and making traversal much easier in watery areas. You get this during the Zora's Domain questline.

Pro-Tip: Don't forget about food and elixirs! Having a good stock of meals that boost your attack, defense, or stamina can be just as important as your armor. Cook during a Blood Moon for critical success!
