Street Fighter II does not feature a training mode in any of its original console versions. This makes experimenting with new moves inconvenient. A training mode is available in the remake, "Super Street Fighter II: Turbo HD Remix," for the PlayStation 3 and XBOX 360, but that is a separate topic.

You can, however, simulate a training mode in versus (VS.) mode by turning on infinite time and using a second, vacant controller. While this setup lacks a built-in move-list or AI behavior, it allows you to practice new moves on a dummy opponent.

Tips
  • To simulate training, set the game to VS. mode with infinite time enabled.
  • Use a second controller as a dummy opponent.
  • Refer to move-lists from guides to practice specific techniques.
