Guide to the Eastern Dune Sea in Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic, including finding the Star Map and defeating Calo Nord.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Go to the eastern side of the enclave and open the west door to find the Jawas. Tell them to run to Anchorhead. Open the east door to find Mission's brother. It is recommended to tell him to run to Anchorhead rather than killing him, as killing him prevents XP gain and Mission will not acknowledge his death. He will meet you at the Ebon Hawk later.
  2. 2
Go to the Dune Sea and use RTS (Real Time Strategy) to travel to the Ebon Hawk. Mission's brother will speak with you and Mission (even if she is not in your active party). He will ask for credits, but giving them does not grant LSP (Light Side Points). He then goes to take a job at the Czerka Office and asks for your help. If you do not have bantha fodder, purchase it from the merchant nearby, described as a two-headed alien.
  3. 3
Return to the Czerka Office and speak with the Protocol Officer about the Chieftain's Gaffi and other gaffi sticks. If you killed the Sand People, you should receive approximately 2,000 credits plus up to 500 credits for the Chieftain's Gaffi Stick. Speak with Griff, who wants you to retrieve a tach gland from Kashyyyk to make Taresian Ale.
  4. 4
Speak with Iziz, who will reward you for rescuing the Jawas and discuss the Star Map further.
  5. 5
Exit Anchorhead and proceed to the Eastern Dune Sea. Head towards a cave to the north.
  6. 6
A (cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically)) will play where a hunter and Komad Fortuna are waiting. The human hunter enters the cave and is eaten by a dragon.
  7. 7
Talk to Komad Fortuna. He has set mines in front of the lair and instructs you to lure banthas with bantha fodder to the lair. The Sand People will attack; they are described as having powerful weapons. If you wish to be EVIL (Dark Side Points), you can tell Komad you no longer need him and kill him. Otherwise, proceed with his plan.
  8. 8
Select a bantha, which will follow you. The Sand People will attack; defeat them quickly. Select the bantha again, and it will stop in front of the lair. The dragon will emerge, trigger the mines, and die.
  9. 9
If you killed Komad, search the dragon's remains for TWO Krayt Dragon Pearls, which grant two extra powerful lightsabers. If you did not kill him, he offers you one pearl as a reward. Accepting this reward allows you to complete the Worthy of History quest.
  10. 10
Enter the cave and loot any corpses. Walk to the Star Map, which will open, initiating dialogue. A tattered equipment pack near the Star Map contains the holocron Helena wants.
  11. 11
Talk to Bastila about the holocron to trigger a journal entry. Your dialogue choices influence the quest outcome.
  12. 12
Speak with Juhani. She expresses gratitude for your acceptance and explains Cathar do not make friends easily. Respond positively to continue the conversation. This conversation does not trigger a journal entry.
  13. 13
Exit the cave and encounter Calo Nord and his bodyguards. A strategy is to kill his bodyguards with grenades first, then target Calo. Calo has a high energy shield that must be depleted before you can effectively damage him. Stunning him may be possible.
  14. 14
Optionally, you can give the dragon pearl to the Sand People chieftain and then attack them if you have not already done so. Loot their remains for gaffi sticks to sell to Czerka.
  15. 15
Use RTS to return to the Ebon Hawk.
  16. 16
As you approach the cantina to give the holocron to Helena, Senni Vek will approach you claiming you dropped a datapad. Take the datapad; it contains a message from the Genoharadan instructing you to see Hulas on Manaan, alone.
  17. 17
Go to the Cantina and speak with Helena. There are no alignment changes associated with this conversation.
  18. 18
A subsequent conversation with Bastila will discuss your encounter with Helena. If the encounter did not end well, this may be your final conversation with her.
  19. 19
In another conversation, Bastila will question why the council sent you and her on the mission untrained. She reflects on her initial belief that the Council was testing her readiness to become a master, and later realizes this was foolish. The Council did not send a Master to avoid drawing unnecessary attention to the Sith. The journal entry notes Bastila either has blind faith in the Council or avoids answering the question.
  20. 20
In an eleventh conversation, Bastila expresses gladness that you are with the party and admits she may have been too critical or demanding at times.
