Alright, so you're in the Undercity and you've run into some transformed outcasts. Tough break, but unfortunately, there's no saving them now. Go ahead and put them down. To your left, you'll see a couple more outcasts who haven't turned yet. If you're going for Dark Side points (DSP), take them out. If you're playing Light Side, you can't really do anything for them at this point, so just head north towards the next gate.

Keep heading north through the Undercity. You'll eventually be stopped by an outcast merchant named Igear. Be polite, ask him what he's got, and make sure you buy all of his antidote kits. Trust me, you'll want these later.

Carth's Story:

After that, you'll run into Carth. He's a bit hesitant to open up at first, but after a little prodding, he'll start talking. He'll tell you about how Revan and Malak used to be Republic heroes before they turned into brutal Sith lords after the Mandalorian Wars. He'll mention others who joined the Sith cause and that they deserve no mercy. Carth won't want to go into any more detail than that.

The Hendar Situation:

Over by the northern village gate, you'll find a woman and the gate guard arguing. Apparently, some guy named Hendar got himself into trouble outside the village and is now being chased by Rakghouls. If you want Light Side points (LSP), tell the gate guard to open up so you can go deal with the Rakghouls. After you've handled them, you'll need to go back into the village and talk to Hendar to actually get the LSP. Now, if you're aiming for DSP, saying you won't risk your life might not be dark enough. It could be part of that light/dark side point glitch, but honestly, it's just better to say you'll kill the Rakghouls and then not talk to the woman. You'll still get the XP without the LSP, and it avoids potential issues.

Note: If Hendar happens to die during the Rakghoul attack while you're trying to save him, well, that's just too bad.
