Master the challenges of the Taris Duel Ring in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Learn strategies for Marl, Twitch, and Bendak Starkiller to earn rewards and progress.
Walkthrough
- 1Meet Canderous: Speak with Canderous in the Upper City cantina. He needs the launch codes for Davik's flagship, the Ebon Hawk, to bypass the Sith blockade. Agree to help him.
- 2Get the Droid: Canderous directs you to the droid shop. Tell the owner, "Canderous sent me," to purchase a droid capable of entering the military base.
- 3Prepare for the Duel Ring: Visit Keebla's shop and stock up on mines (frag, plasma) and grenades (frag, concussion). If your character lacks demolitions skill, focus on grenades.
- 4Duel Marl: Marl is a tough opponent with a double-bladed sword and master power attack. Strategy: Run and heal if necessary. For level-saving, plant mines and lure him into them, or use grenades if you lack demolitions skill. Plant mines before the rematch as they persist.
- 5Duel Twitch: Twitch is more skilled with a blaster. Strategy: Use special melee attacks. For level-saving, use concussion grenades to stun him, then attack. If he's not stunned, throw another. After stunning, retreat to avoid melee. Repeat until defeated. A glitch may occur if you collect winnings after the Bendak duel, granting extra credits and a Bendak blaster.
- 6Duel Bendak Starkiller: Bendak has a bounty. Strategy: This fight is tough. Start with a concussion grenade, then throw more grenades (plasma and frag). Keep an eye on your health, as he uses master blaster feats. Use an energy shield to mitigate blaster damage. For level-saving: Use concussion grenades to stun, then throw remaining grenades and attack. If stunned, hack with your sword. Retreat when the stun wears off. If he switches to melee, plant mines and lure him. Heal after every hit. Be aware of potential stuns from his attacks.

- Bendak Starkiller challenges you to a death match. To prepare, exit and re-enter the cantina.
- Marl: 400 credits
- Twitch: 500 credits (plus potential bonus credits and blaster via glitch)
- Bendak Starkiller: Bounty reward (DSP, potentially LSP with mods)
