Navigate the Tomb of Naga Sadow in Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic. Learn how to solve puzzles, defeat enemies, and make critical choices that affect your alignment.
Walkthrough
- 1Head south from the entrance, defeat the enemies, and take the eastern path (optional, but yields money).
- 2Enter the eastern room, which locks behind you. Save your game before interacting with the computer terminal to solve the puzzle. The correct sequence of moves is provided in the source text.
- 3After solving the puzzle, retrieve Naga Sadow's poison blade from the pillar in the newly opened room.
- 4Return to the central chamber and go west. Loot the corpse and open the door.
- 5Defeat the two Tarentateks inside. Strategies for both Dark and Light side players are provided, including using Force Storm, Death Field, Stasis Field, concussion grenades, Master Speed, and Master Flurry.
- 6Pull the lever in the southwestern corner of the room to unlock doors.
- 7Open the door next to the lever and collect the special ice grenade. The fire grenade is noted as worthless.
- 8Return to the four-way intersection and proceed down the unexplored path.
- 9Use the ice grenade on the acid pool to create a frozen path. (Note: A fire grenade will cause an explosion and instant death).
- 10Follow the new path to find the Star Map.
- 11Retrieve the Sith Lightsaber from the statue behind the Star Map.
- 12Return to the acid pool where Uthar and Yuthura will be waiting.
Betrayal and Choices:
At the acid pool, Uthar and Yuthura will confront you. Your choices here have significant alignment consequences (Light Side Points - LSP, Dark Side Points - DSP).
- Take Uthar's Side: This path almost always results in DSP. Uthar will attack if you didn't inform him of the plot. If you did, he may ask a question, offering a chance to fight or not. Telling him you are Revan might lead to him pledging service if you defeat Malak. Poisoning Uthar leads to him fighting regardless, potentially with more DSP if you gloat.
- Take Yuthura's Side: This path can yield both LSP and DSP. Yuthura can be an ally against Uthar. However, after Uthar's defeat, Yuthura will attack you for control. If you defeat her, you can choose to kill her for DSP or spare her for LSP, reveal your identity, and convince her to leave the Sith.
- Take Your Side: You decide to fight both Uthar and Yuthura. This is the most challenging option. You can gain LSP by stating your allegiance to the Republic or Jedi, or DSP if you poisoned both and gloat. If you choose this path, focus on Yuthura first, heal frequently, then engage Uthar using tactics similar to fighting the Tarentateks.
Aftermath:
- If you killed Uthar and convinced Yuthura to leave the Sith, you may encounter Sith students outside the academy entrance who will attack you.
- You must walk back to your ship as RTS (Real-Time Strategy) is not available.
Tips
- Save your game before the computer puzzle in the eastern room. You have only two chances to solve it yourself.
- Dark Consulars can use Force Storm or Death Field effectively against Tarentateks.
- Light-sided players with high Wisdom can use Stasis Field.
- If Wisdom is low, use a concussion grenade on one Tarentatek, then use Master Speed and Master Flurry on the stunned enemy.
- The ice grenade is essential for crossing the acid pool; the fire grenade is dangerous and useless here.
- Be aware that dialogue choices can have hidden alignment impacts.
- Some options may appear light or dark but are not necessarily so.
