Follow our step-by-step guide to ace the American Fathers mission in Red Dead Redemption 2, including tips for Gold Medal completion and navigating Saint Denis.

Alright, so after wrapping up 'The Gilded Cage,' you'll notice a golden '?' pop up in Saint Denis. That's your cue to head over there and meet some new folks. Turns out, Arthur's gonna help Rain Falls out by snagging a file from Cornwall Kerosene and Tar, which is located up near Valentine. You'll need to kick back for a few in-game hours before you can really get going on this, so hopping on a stagecoach to Valentine is a solid move. It's a bit of a trek, and you'll pass the time on the way to meet up with Eagle Flies.

Once the cutscene with Eagle Flies wraps up, you'll want to make a quick dash down the hill and hop into the back of a waiting wagon. Just chill in there until it reaches its destination, then bail out. Keep low and move towards the door right in front of you. Stay crouched the whole time and keep an eye on your radar to see where the guards are looking. The first one will walk off to the left, and the second one follows him pretty quickly. Once they're clear, slip through and head up the stairs to the second floor. There's only one more guard up here to worry about. Just wait for him to turn his back, then crouch-walk behind him to reach Danbury's office undetected.

Inside the office, you'll need to interrogate the guy. You can do this by beating him up a bit and then threatening him to get the File you came for. After you've got it, make your escape through the window. As Arthur lands, things get a little hairy, but luckily, Eagle Flies' diversion gives you a perfect window to use Dead Eye and take out the three guards. Now, you need to get to Eagle Flies. Start running, and only stop to shoot the guards right around you. Keep your accuracy up – you'll need at least 80% for that Gold Medal.

You'll spot Eagle Flies on his horse with yours nearby. Hop on and follow him away from the factory. A bunch of mounted guards will start chasing you. Turn around to face them and use Dead Eye to take them all down before you continue the escape. You'll find Eagle Flies on horseback here with your own horse close by, quickly mount up and follow him away from the factory. You’ll be pursued by some mounted guards, turn around to face them and use Dead Eye to kill all of them before continuing the escape.

Gold Medal Checklist:

• Infiltrate the factory by hiding in the wagon
• Reach Danbury’s office without being detected
• Kill all the horseback pursuers during the escape
• Complete with at least 80% accuracy
