The American Inferno, Burnt Out

Alright, so you've been helping Evelyn out, and now it's time for the next steps in 'The American Inferno, Burnt Out.' Don't worry, it's not as intense as it sounds, mostly just a few more favors for the old man.

Part II: The Rescue and the Ambush

First off, head back to Evelyn's cabin after a few days. He's got something to show you, but wouldn't you know it, an animal's gotten itself stuck. Just walk up to it and press the button prompt that pops up on your screen to set it free. Easy peasy.

Once that's done, hop back on your horse and follow Evelyn. He'll lead you to a camp where things are about to get a little spicy. Wait a few seconds, and a fight will break out. This is your cue! Pull out any weapon you like and use your Dead Eye to take down the attackers. After the dust settles, chat with Evelyn again to wrap up this part.

Part III / IV: The Waiting Game

Now, it's time for some patience. Head back to Evelyn's cabin and set up camp. You'll need to skip forward a couple of days to trigger the next part of the mission. Once it's available, go back to the cabin and leave some food right in front of his door. Seriously, just plop it down there.

After that, skip forward a few more days. Yep, more waiting. Then, do the same thing again: leave some more food outside the cabin.

Part V: The Fiery Farewell

One last time, sleep for a few more nights and return to the cabin. You'll find that Evelyn has passed away. Head inside, and you'll find his book. Pick it up to read his final wish. Turns out, Evelyn wants to be burned to join the Eagles. So, exit the cabin, and set the whole place on fire. Make sure you burn down the cabin with Evelyn inside to fulfill his last request.
