Guide to finishing the Money Lending and Other Sins missions VI and VII in Red Dead Redemption 2. Includes finding debtors John Weathers and Arthur Londonderry, and confronting Strauss.
Alright, let's wrap up these loanshark missions for Leopold Strauss. You'll need to have finished the previous ones, and be in Chapter 6 to kick things off. We've got two more debtors to track down.
First Debtor: John Weathers
Head over to Moonstone Pond. When you get there, dismount your horse and grab a rifle before you go talk to John. Just as you're about to sort out his debt, some soldiers from Fort Wallace are going to show up, and you'll be in a shootout whether you planned for it or not.
Use the cart for cover and pick off the soldiers as they come at you. They'll be coming from the trees to your right, from the path in front of you, and some will hide behind the trees on the left. Once you've dealt with all the soldiers, you can either take the silver locket as payment or let John off the hook. Choosing to absolve the debt will give you a nice boost in Honor.
Second Debtor: Arthur Londonderry
Your next stop is Annesburg, near the mines, to find Arthur Londonderry. Talk to the guard outside the mine entrance first to see if Arthur's around. Head inside and speak with the Foreman. Turns out, Arthur's passed on, but his widow can be found at Butcher's Creek. Ride south of Annesburg to a small cabin and confront her. After the cutscene, you'll have a choice: give her some money and absolve the debt, or just absolve it. If you choose to give her $20, you'll get a massive Honor increase, which is a great way to finish this part.
Confronting Strauss
Now, head back to camp to face Leopold Strauss. After a bit of a confrontation, Arthur will kick Strauss out of camp with just his bag and some cash. Completing this mission gives you a significant Honor boost. If you've been playing honorably, this should be enough to help you snag the _Extreme Personality_ Trophy/Achievement.
