[9-23] E3M5: Wind Tunnels

After you exit the first of the three tunnels, head up the stairs and through the passage. Keep an eye out in the corners of this passage; you'll find a spot where you can drop down. This hidden drop leads to a small room packed with goodies and a teleporter that will snag you the coveted Quad Damage power-up.

You'll reach a point with a ledge overlooking another ledge, which in turn overlooks a pool. The whole area kind of resembles a ribbed funnel. From the entrance side, go to the very far side of the ledge and turn to face the entrance. Look up at the girders above – you'll spot a Quake symbol. Shoot this symbol, and a door will creak open right next to where you entered this area.

There's a room with stairs leading out, a small wind tunnel humming away overhead, and a moat surrounding the room's edge. Your move here is to jump into the moat and swim underneath the main room. This pool has two ways out; one of them will lead you to a secret room.

Right at the very end of the level, you'll find yourself in the room with the exit teleporter. Instead of jumping straight into the exit, shoot the floor in the center of this room. It'll open up, revealing a hole. Jump down into this hole, but be careful to *miss* the teleporter that appears under the opening. Doing so will land you near some much-needed boxes of nails.
