Quake version history from beta releases to the first full release on September 7th, 1996. See FAQ update details.

Version History:

1. 1.0 (First Beta): Released on Usenet in late June 1996.
2. 1.1 (Second Beta): Released on IRC in early July 1996.
3. 1.2 (Third Beta): Released on IRC in late July 1996. This version's FAQ included multiplayer information.
4. 2.0 (First Full Release): Released on September 7th, 1996. The FAQ was significantly expanded, doubling in size from the first beta released two months prior.
