Learn about Quake IPX network settings, including address, port, and how to search for or join games.

Address - Your network address. Quake automatically sets this for you; you cannot change it manually.

Port - The port used to connect to a server. Leave this at the default unless you have specific knowledge of what you are doing.

Search for local games... - Initiates a network search for multiplayer Quake games. A list of running Quake servers will be displayed. Select the desired game and press Enter. If no servers are found, Quake will display 'No Quake servers found'.

Join a game at... - Allows you to type in the IP address of the Quake server you wish to connect to.

Tips
  • The Address setting is automatically managed by Quake.
  • It is recommended to leave the Port setting at its default value unless you are experienced with network configurations.
  • If you are unsure of a specific server's IP address, use the 'Search for local games...' option.
