Walkthrough

Port: Select the COM port your modem is connected to.

IRQ: This setting usually changes automatically when you adjust the 'Port' setting. Avoid manual changes unless you are experienced.

Baud: Set the baud rate for your COM port. The minimum is 9600 and the maximum is 57600. Higher rates are not always better.

Modem Setup...: Access this to set your modem's initialization strings and choose between tone or pulse dialing. Tone dialing is standard globally.

Phone number: Enter the phone number of the person you wish to call to play Quake. Include the area code if necessary.

Connect: Select this option to dial the phone number and start a game of Quake.
