Follow our Mass Effect: Andromeda guide to complete the 'Know Your Enemy' quest on Voeld, including locating Kett facilities and collecting vital biosamples.

Alright, so after you've finished up with that Kett facility and rescued the Moshae, you'll get a message on your datapad called “Message from Voeld: Intel on Kett”. Read that, and bam! You've got a new quest called “Know Your Enemy”.

Your first stop is the Resistance Base on Voeld. Look for Raelis, the Angaran who sent you that message. She's got a hunch that the Kett are up to something big after your raid – possibly setting up another exaltation facility. Your job? Stop them. Permanently.

Claiming Kett Biosamples

This Kett facility is located in the south-central part of the Voeld map. It's a bit of a trek, south and slightly east of the Techiix Station Forward Station. Honestly, it's the only real reason to head down that way before you wrap up “Remove the Heart”. The closest Forward Station is way out in the southeastern corner of the map, so buckle up for a long drive.

When you get there, the facility might not look like much at first glance, maybe similar to other Kett outposts you've seen. But trust me, the sheer number of Kett hanging around is a dead giveaway that something more serious is going on. Take out the Chosen and Wraiths outside, then head inside. It gets tougher in there with more enemies like Chosen, Anointed, and Destined.

Once you've cleared everyone out, loot everything you can. Then, it's time to get your scan on. Start at the northwestern door and work your way around the room clockwise. You'll find a “Collected Biospecimen” syringe to scan in the northern corner. Grab the Datapad right there too and access the “Recording: Operations Log ZR-2851” file. Keep moving south-southeast to find another “Collected Biospecimen” syringe on a medical table, along with another Datapad containing the audio log “Recording: Operations Log ZK-7539”.

Keep heading south-southeast and you'll find a third Datapad with the log “Recording: Operations Log ZT-9329”. To the southwest, there's another “Collected Biospecimen” syringe. You can scan it, but it's not what you're after. Still, even these other samples are good for Research Data, so scan 'em if you want. In the western corner, there's another “Collected Biosample” syringe. Then, find one more bogus “Collected Biosample” syringe on a crate near the north-northwest door. Finally, scan the last “Collected Biosample” syringe on a table just south-southeast of the west-southwest door.

Collecting all three Kett bio samples will trigger some chatter about the Archon. More importantly, those Datapads and their audio logs will reveal the location of a Kett communications station. Naturally, the squad decides it needs to be set on fire. But first, check the roof of this facility – there’s a container and a Kett Core Encryption Tech device to scan.

Crashing the Communications Station

The Kett communications station you need to hit is on the eastern side of the map, northeast of the southeastern-most Forward Station. If you've unlocked the line of Forward Stations along the eastern edge, the one just east of the Kett base is your best bet – the station is due south of that. Either way, be ready for another drive through the wilderness.

When you arrive, you'll see the base is built into a hill on the eastern side of a mountain pass, giving them the high ground. Your best bet is to approach from the east. Circle around the base and start clearing out the Kett – Chosen, Anointed, and Destined will be there. Fight your way west to a structure. Once the area is clear, check a platform to the west for a Datapad containing info on the Kett chain of command. Keep heading west past some Kett electronics and play an Audio Log. Then, head back east to the structure and search the eastern wall for another Kett Audio Log with more intel.

That's it for now, the quest will go on hold until more developments happen. You'll get 73 AVP, +5% Voeld viability, and 530 XP for your efforts.
