Guide to finding and scanning anomalies in the Eriksson system and surrounding planets in Mass Effect: Andromeda, including Starship Wreckages and Initiative Shuttles.

Alright, let's talk about Eriksson! This section covers a few interesting anomalies you can find scattered across a few systems, mostly related to scanning things for quests or just for good old Research Data. You'll need to have completed the quest “Getting to Know the Nexus” before you can really dive into this.

First up, we have the Starship Wreckage in the Eriksson system itself. To get this one going, you'll need to chat with Doctor Aridana on the Nexus. She'll give you the quest “Missing Scientists,” and after that, you can scan the Eriksson system to find the wreckage. Easy peasy.

Next, we're heading over to Eos for the quest “Doesn’t Add Up.” After you've wrapped up “A Better Beginning,” make your way to Podromos on Eos to grab this quest. It’ll eventually point you towards the Eriksson system again. Once you're far enough along in “Doesn’t Add Up,” you'll be able to scan for an Eezo-Distorted Kett Wreckage. Scanning this will score you a bunch of salvage.

Keep following that “Doesn’t Add Up” quest. After you've scanned the Kett Wreckage, you'll be able to look for a Drifting Initiative Shuttle. Just probe and check out this shuttle to wrap up the quest. You'll get some XP, 29 AVP, and more salvage for your trouble.

Now, for a more involved one. After finishing “A Trail of Hope,” head to Aya and find Maariko. She’ll give you a quest that eventually leads you back to Eriksson. You'll need to scan Angaran Navpoint Anomalies in the Onaon and Sabeng systems, then find a Comm Buoy in the Joba system. This will direct you back to Eriksson where you can finally locate a Starship Wreckage on the edge of the Scourge. Scanning this wreckage will tell you where to look for the “Safe Journeys” quest, and you'll also get 50 Heleus Research Data points from it.

Beyond the Eriksson system, there are a couple of other planets with scan-able goodies:

  • Habitat 7: This place is infamous! Scan it to find a Satellite that’s worth 50 Milky Way Research Data points.
  • Vinland: Just scan the crater you find on this planet for some XP.
  • Helluland: You can scan an Aluminum deposit here, which, surprise surprise, yields Aluminum.
