    Return to the Nexus Operations floor and speak with Mariette, who is east of Kandros. She will ask you to exonerate her husband, Nilken, who is accused of murder.

    Agree to help Mariette and find Nilken. Speak with the prison guard, then Nilken, who will tell you his side of the story.

    Return to Kandros and get the official perspective on the case.

    Head east and listen to the logged recording of the event.

    Go to Addison's Office and speak with Cassidy Shaw, a witness to the murder.

    Talk to Tann to get permission to return to Eos to search for security chief Reynolds' body.

    On Eos, fast travel to Site 1 and then make your way south to Site 2.

    From Site 2, head south into the desert towards the indicated map location. Scan the armor on the ground and listen to SAM's analysis.

    Continue southeast to find another piece of evidence.

    Drive east to find a third piece of evidence, buried in the sand. Keep your scanner low.

    Drive southeast to the next search zone and scan another scrap of Reynolds' remains, suggesting wildlife scavenged the body.

    Continue southeast into a cave. Defeat the Kaerkyns, mine Cadmium ore, and scan more remains on a shelf on the southeastern edge of the cave.

    Scan Reynolds' omni-tool. SAM will interpret the data and play a new audio recording, which complicates the investigation.

    Optional: North of the cave, behind a rock formation, you can find Remnant ruins. Clear any Remnant enemies and loot nearby rocks for Element Zero and Lithium.

    Optional: There is a Mining Zone south of the cave, centered west of it.

    Return to the Nexus Operations area and confront Nilken.

    Discuss the situation with Tann, who will leave the final decision to you.

    Choose whether to keep the murder conviction and exile Nilken, or overturn it and let him go free.
