Walkthrough

    Crawl along pipes to a platform with a vent grating. Bash the grating with the crowbar and crawl through the vent shaft to the second floor grating.

    Bash the grating and drop through. Turn right and bash crates for armor batteries.

    Observe the bullsquid on the lower floor. Once it finishes killing headcrabs, use your pistol to kill it, strafing to avoid its spit. Shoot any remaining headcrabs.

    To cross to the bullsquid's location, use the broken metal walkway. Take a running jump from the left end; you will take some damage. Alternatively, return to find a door, a ladder to climb down, and another door.

    A safer method involves waiting for the bullsquid to kill new headcrabs, then shooting it while using barrels for cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects) when it spits.

    You can push a wooden crate into the canal to jump across, but be quick as it will float away. Crates will sink under your weight.

    Alternatively, enter the canal, hop onto lights along the other side, then jump-crouch to the floor.

    Swim to the canal's end, use a ladder to reach a small room with a first aid station, then go through a door and along a narrow ledge.

    Go through the door near the bullsquid and down a corridor to reach section c1a1d.

Section c1a1d: BOX-HOPPING FUN

  1. Continue until you reach a large room with hanging crates and two ladders.
  2. After climbing the second ladder, quicksave. Jump onto the railing next to the rightmost hanging crate.
  3. Move onto the crate, then do a running jump to the next crate directly ahead. The crates will sway when you land on them.
  4. Drop down to the next crate without jumping. Turn right and drop to the next two crates in order.
  5. Drop onto the floor past the crates. Move down the corridor until you find a ladder in a red-lit room.
  6. Past the ladder is a corridor leading back to section c1a1c.

Section c1a1c (again): EXIT ELEVATOR

  1. Move down the corridor until you exit through a door. Go right to find a large elevator.
