Complete Half-Life Part 46 walkthrough, including how to defeat the ichthyosaur, use tripmine shortcuts, and clear the repair bay.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Near the fallen turret, use the hornet gun's altfire to destroy two wooden crates and shove a metal crate. This reveals two headcrabs that can be killed with hornets.
  2. 2
Look down the canals labeled "WEST" to find barnacles; kill them with the hornet gun's altfire.
  3. 3
Push the metal crate into either canal, then up to the fence under the "WEST" sign. Use the crate to climb over the fence.
  4. 4
Check under the dead barnacles for health and armor.
  5. 5
Move to where you can exit the water, killing the nearby headcrab with hornets.
  6. 6
Around the corner past the headcrab, you'll find a large pool containing an ichthyosaur.
  7. 7
Fire hornets into the pool continuously until the ichthyosaur stops making noise. Quicksave, then dive in to check if it's dead. If not, quickrestore and fire more hornets.
  8. 8
After the ichthyosaur is dead, swim to the back of the pool to find two sets of hand grenades near the fence.
  9. 9
Tripmine Shortcut: Quicksave. Set a tripmine at water level on the wall next to the left end of the pool's back fence. Jump onto the tripmine, then onto the fence. Carefully edge along the fence to drop into the water on the other side. (Note: In earlier versions, this may require two tripmines, one below water level and one above.)
  10. 10
Regular Way (includes secret area, necessary for Source version players): Go down the ichthyosaur pool's side passage. After it turns right, crouch and move through the large slow-moving cogwheel. Go under the double pipes and between the next two pipes. Turn right and jump onto the small ledge.
  11. 11
Bash the padlock on the door with the crowbar and check the room beyond for a health pack and an HEV station.
  12. 12
Return to the ledge and jump onto the steam pipes to the right. Move along them to jump past the left side of the barnacle.
  13. 13
Crouch-walk past the next large cogwheel, avoiding steam damage and zappy leeches, or time your passage under it.
  14. 14
While on the water's surface, use the RPG to destroy the turret near the sandbag wall. Get onto the floor on the right side of the wall.
  15. 15
Crouch-jump onto the wall, then edge over to use the hornet gun to shoot the marine to the right of the ladder.
  16. 16
Restock on RPG rockets before climbing the ladder.
  17. 17
At the ladder's top, turn right and fire hornets at the opening between two huge rocks until they stop swerving, indicating the two marines behind them are dead. (SRC: You may need to get off the ladder and crouch-walk slowly toward the rock gap for a better horneting position.)
  18. 18
The tank behind the left rock is still active. Get off the ladder and slowly strafe left to see the tank's turret without being seen. Use RPG rockets to destroy it, then return down the ladder to resupply.
  19. 19
After the tank is destroyed, look for hand grenades in a dark niche to its right.
  20. 20
Crouch-walk along the tank's right side (your left). Jump over a short obstruction.
  21. 21
Move up to the partly open door. Use the pistol to sneak-shoot the turret just past the door on the left. Use the first aid station on the opposite wall if needed.
  22. 22
To reach section c3a1b, use the button on the back wall to summon an elevator, then get in and use its button.
  23. 23
Section c3a1b: REPAIR BAY WITH USABLE TANK
  24. 24
Move forward from the elevator and crouch-jump over the two narrow streams of green toxic goo. (SRC: A regular jump might be needed for the second stream.)
  25. 25
Turn right past the second green stream and go to the wall next to a green pool. Look past the pool to see the bottom of stairs and part of a railing.
  26. 26
Position yourself to barely see the marine next to the railing and fire an RPG rocket at him. (SRC: Use altfire hornets instead.)
  27. 27
Switch to the assault rifle and shoot the other marine if he comes down the stairs. If not, crouch-walk over and sneak-shoot him with the hornet gun.
  28. 28
Pick up the dropped weapons and go up the stairs to see into a large repair bay.
  29. 29
Wait for the marines and alien grunts to finish fighting, then crouch-walk slowly into the bay.
  30. 30
Use the hornet gun to take down any survivors. They cannot see or shoot through the metal walkway, so if you shoot one and he moves, quickly crouch and back up where he can't see you but you can still target him. (SRC: They can see and shoot through the walkway, so stay farther back.)
  31. 31
After the bay is clear, drop to the floor and bash wooden crates for supplies, including tripmines.
