    Surface for air, then dive back down and go straight to the fan area.

    Lean on the "Use item" key until the wheel stops turning, then move into the fan area past the grating.

Tips
  • You'll be unable to stay in the tunnel after exiting it.
  • A large boulder ahead has an armor battery on it; go for it after checking for the chopper.
  • You could turn left just past the tunnel exit to find three headcrabs and a cave with a health pack, but it's not worth the trouble.
  • You could turn and jump across to a small supply area from the first ladder's ledge, but it's better to collect those supplies later.
  • Due to increased object boundary clipping problems, you'll be unable to head-shot the first of the two marines behind the rocks. The second one will probably be facing your way. You might just want to sneak-shoot them both with the pistol.
  • Search the tunnel carefully for supplies after the marines are down.
  • In the back of the marines' area, grab the crossbow ammo and use the valve wheel to open a storm drain hatch in another area.
  • The first thing to do in section c2a5x is to gauss-altfire-blast the chopper again.
  • There is a tentacle beast in section c2a5x that cannot be killed, but there is ammo near it.
