Complete GTA V Assault Rifle Challenges with our guide. Learn gold medal requirements for all three stages, including target counts and time limits.
Challenge One
Medals: Bronze: 2,500 points (17 targets, 36 seconds), Silver: 3,550 points, Gold: 7,550 points.
Targets: Multiple static targets. Targets exit after 3 hits.
- 1The Advanced Rifle is recommended for this challenge. Using better guns generally makes achieving Gold easier. Michael’s special ability can also help.
- 2The Advanced Rifle is good because it allows for short bursts, which are necessary to maintain your score multiplier.
- 3Targets appear from long range, moving left to right. Three will appear, and as the far-right one disappears, another will appear behind it, allowing you to maintain fire.
- 4The targets then appear right to left, still at long range.
- 5This pattern repeats, so keep your aim moving with the targets.
Challenge Two
Medals: Bronze: 4,750 points (No Time Limit, 57 seconds), Silver: 7,500 points, Gold: 17,500 points.
Targets: Single column of moving and flipping targets. Targets exit automatically.
- 1The Carbine Rifle is a good choice due to its accuracy. The Carbine or standard assault rifle are better than the Advanced Rifle here due to their slightly higher rate of fire.
- 2Four targets appear in a line. They move from right to left, starting with the foremost one, and then reverse the pattern.
- 3Targets further away move slower, requiring you to adjust your horizontal aim to match their speed.
- 4You can strafe with the targets or just adjust your aim.
- 5Reload as you move back to the next target to avoid reloading mid-target engagement.
Challenge Three
Medals: Bronze: 1,000 points (10 targets, 29 seconds), Silver: 3,000 points, Gold: 5,000 points.
Targets: Moving targets of varying height and speed. Targets exit after three hits.
- 1Line up your shots carefully, as there are only 10 targets and maximizing points is crucial for Gold.
- 2This challenge is tougher due to targets appearing at varying heights and speeds, requiring quick adjustments.
- 3Take your time; you have 29 seconds. Focus on maintaining your multiplier by hitting targets accurately.
- 4The first set of targets drops in one at a time, alternating right-to-left and left-to-right, with slight variations in height and speed.
- 5Next, three targets drop: two first, then one on the left. Hit these in any order.
- 6A further three targets drop, each with slightly different heights and moving subtly.
- For Challenge One, the Advanced Rifle is recommended for its controlled bursts to maintain the score multiplier.
- For Challenge Two, the Carbine Rifle's accuracy is beneficial for the moving targets.
- For Challenge Three, prioritize accuracy to maintain your score multiplier, as there are only 10 targets.
- Consider using Michael's special ability in Challenge One to help with accuracy and time.
