Standoff Mastery

Master Standoffs in Ghost of Tsushima with these tips for timing, upgrades, and armor to quickly eliminate multiple enemies.

Overview:

Standoffs are honorable challenges that allow you to instantly kill multiple enemies at the start of an encounter. Holding Triangle and releasing at the right moment is key.

Tips:

• Timing: Release Triangle just as the enemy is about to strike. Watch their feet or their weapon for the tell.
• Upgrades: Unlock 'Standoff Streak' and 'Standoff Streak Master' in the Samurai Techniques tree to kill up to 5 enemies.
• Sakai Clan Armor: This armor significantly increases the number of Standoff kills you can achieve.
• Practice: The more you do them, the better your timing will become. Don't be afraid to fail; the penalty is just a regular combat encounter.

Mastering Standoffs allows you to quickly thin out enemy groups and gain a significant advantage.
