- 2Send thieves to collect the Ocean Seal from the desert (location visual link in Eliwood Mode).
- 3Use your main forces, preferably led by magicians, to advance north and across the map.
- 4Use flier units to lure enemies towards your main force.
- 5Use Ninian and healers to gain experience (EXP).
- 6Recruit Hawkeye on Turn 2; he appears next to Hector.
- 7If you gain more than 700 EXP and recruit Hawkeye, you unlock the Gaiden chapter.
- 8Spend time with your thieves to steal treasures around the desert, including a White Gem from Jasmine, a Guiding Ring from a mage, and another Guiding Ring from Jasmine.
- 9Defeat all enemies and protect Pent.
