Enemies and Reinforcements

You'll face a variety of enemies, including Archers, Cavaliers, Corsairs, Mages, Mercenaries, Nomads, and Wyvern Riders. Make sure your units are prepared for a mix of physical and magical threats.

Pay close attention to the reinforcements:

• Turn 1: Geitz shows up among the villages.
• Turn 4: Two Corsairs with Hand Axes and one with an Iron Axe appear in the eastern corner.
• Turn 5: Two Mercenaries with Iron Swords and two more with Steel Swords spawn to the north. To the northeast, a Wyvern Rider with a Steel Lance and another with a Javelin arrive.
• Turns 10, 12, 14, 16, and 18: Expect a steady stream of Wyvern Riders from the northeast and southeast – two with Javelins, three with Iron Lances, and five with Steel Lances. They can really swarm you if you're not careful!

Items and Locations

There are some valuable items to grab in this chapter:

• Orion's Bolt: Found in the far northwest village.
• Silence: Located in the northwest village on the right.
• Earth Seal: In the southeast village. Your caster, like Canas, can handle the Bolting tome enemies here and grab it safely.
• Red Gem: You can steal this from a Wyvern Rider.

Strategy and Tips

The key here is to move efficiently. Don't dawdle too much, but also don't rush blindly into danger.

• Recruiting Geitz: You can either use Ninian to reach Geitz quickly or lure him out with a high Defense unit like Oswin.

• Training: If some of your units need experience, this map offers opportunities. The arena can be a great place for units that desperately need EXP, and you might even get some units promoted by the end of the chapter, especially if you're aiming for an S-rank quest.
• Taking on Linus: Linus himself doesn't move, but he does have a ranged weapon, so be cautious. It's best to take him down with your promoted units. If you've been doing well, your fliers and casters (like Canas) should be promoted by now, and Oswin should have plenty of experience.
• General Advice: Keep an eye on incoming foes and take them out. Try to train your units to promotion level. Nab any goodies you can find and focus on completing the chapter. The Secret Shop isn't really worth the effort this time around.
